Return to School Update

Dear Families,

Greetings!  I want to thank you for your efforts as we ended this school year.  On March 12, our world changed and education as we know of shifted from what we all know to all online.  During this time, our “village” came together to insure that our scholars needs were met.  I commend you on your resiliency and effort.  “One Team, One Vision, One Goal.

Dr. Reynolds, our new Director of Wellness and Innovative Program has been working hard to insure we are ready for the start of school.  He has convened committees which have focused on following all health guidelines and how we will modify our current procedures. We are also focusing on the insuring we follow all health and safety guidelines as we prepare our buildings.

Our team has developed comprehensive cleaning and disinfecting procedures that will be followed each day in all of our facilities and buses. We will install hand sanitizer stations on all buses and it will be readily available in or near classrooms and common areas of each building. We have invested into signage that will be placed throughout our buildings to remind students, staff, and visitors of key points in handwashing, COVID-19 symptoms, recommended hygiene practices, and other items that contribute to a culture of safe and healthy practices.

We are patiently waiting on the state and county guidelines are finalized and shared with school districts.  Once we have that guidance, we will finalize our plan and share with you in preparation for the start of school.

In the next few weeks, we will be hosting community meetings to share more information.  Please be on alert on our social media pages and call system.

Thank you,

Donald J. Jolly II

Superintendent
Warrensville Heights City School District
