Last ROAR at Randallwood

Friends, former scholars, former staff members, and community residents are invited to the Last Roar at Randallwood on Saturday, May 26, 2018, at 11 a.m. at the school, 21865 Clarkwood Parkway, in Warrensville Heights. The building will be razed this summer to make way for a new school to be built on the site.

“We want to give everyone a chance to say their goodbyes to the school which served 5th and 6th graders from 1971 until it closed in 2010,” said Superintendent Donald J. Jolly II.  “There will be a short program followed by tours of the building, a commemorative brick sale, and refreshments, including food trucks.” The Warrensville Heights High School Marching Band and Tiger Mascot will also be in attendance.

The new school will house students in grades Pre-K through 5 who currently attend John Dewey, Eastwood, and Westwood Elementary Schools.  Designed by GPD group, construction of the new school will begin in the fall of 2018 with anticipated completion for the 2020-2021 school year.

The $25 million facility is financed with funds from the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission and the Warrensville City School District’s General Fund. The new school represents Phase I of the district’s Master Facilities Plan.  Phase II, which will require voters to approve a bond issue, will create a campus for scholars in grades 6-12.
