District Unveils Redesigned Website

The Warrensville Heights City School District is pleased to announce the launch of a new, redesigned version of its website, www.warrensville.k12.oh.us.

The goals of the website redesign were to:

  • Create a look and feel, along with robust and frequently updated content, to capture the District’s energy and highlight key initiatives in its reform and transformation
  • Restructure content groupings and hierarchy to provide primary audiences with more intuitive paths to content and information
  • Establish conventions (typographic style, file naming) that will facilitate maintenance and updates and create a more uniform, coherent “package” for the site overall
  • Incorporate a “responsive” layout that adapts to different devices (smart phones, tablets and desktop computers) and multiple web browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer and Safari) for an optimal viewing experience with easy reading and navigation
The website is categorized by seven major topics: About WHCSD, Board of Education, Departments, Schools, Parents and Scholars, More (Quick Links) and Contact Us. Clicking on any of these links across the top of the site will allow visitors to access the more detailed sub-pages for each.

On the homepage, the new site uses larger photos, videos and graphics to showcase news stories about scholars and staff, as well as features stories about district programs.

The school pages also can be accessed from the homepage’s main navigation. Each school’s page includes featured photos, school links, announcements, newsletters and more. A calendar with school specific events can be viewed from each school homepage.

If visitors can’t find what they’re looking for, the “Search” button in the dark blue section at the top right of each page will prove to be very useful. (It's powered by Google!)

Questions? Use the "Contact" option in the top or left navigation bars to find the phone number and/or email address for the most appropriate staff member.
