WHHS Freshman shines at SPARX City Hop Event
This weekend the Downtown Cleveland Alliance hosted the SPARX City Hop event.  Warrensville Hts High School freshman Casjah Shy shined brightly at this celebration.  Casjah and several other Karamu Arts students performed an improvisational piece where they engaged an audience member to join the show.  The performance was inspired by an Ethiopian folktale that calls us to conquer our fears. In this improvisational performance audience members face their fear of stage fright; they learn the jest of the performance in 10 minutes (choreography included) and then they are integrated into the production with the youth performers.

The students were regarded as professionals, and many of the spectators were impressed to see how well the youth engaged the audience. The SPARX City Hop event is a signature event of Downtown Cleveland Alliance in celebration of the arts and culture in Downtown Cleveland and the surrounding neighborhoods.
