Process for Monitoring

Flexibility

Student needs are the basis for this program. Having different schedules for the different needs of our scholars offers the flexibility needed to make the program happen.  The courses will be offered based on student need, but even more scheduling flexibility can be offered to students who need, for example, credit recovery (5.5 days) and ESY the remaining days.  The only timeline that needs to be strictly adhered to are those 5.5 day credit recovery pieces.

Documentation of Progress

Teachers will be responsible for documenting progress of their scholars

Communication
Infinite Campus and periodic phone calls/emails if needed

Communication

Students

Students will be hand selected for the intervention programs based on their needs to get them back on track for graduation.  Guidance/administration will let those students know that they have the opportunity to make up work or take those credit recovery classes over the summer

Parents

Parents will first get an automated call letting them know that their scholars have the opportunity to come to in-person learning from June 7-30 to make up work, make up credits, or receive enrichment.  Parents of those students that have credit recovery and failing grades will be called individually to try to garner commitment for their scholars.

Once we know which scholars will be coming for the interventions, we can generate a course schedule to meet the needs of as many students as possible.
