2021 - 2022 School Year to be In-Person

The 2021-2022 School Year will be in-person at Warrensville Heights City Schools. For more information, please read this letter: 6-29-2021-Virtual-enrollment.pdf

Greetings, Tiger Families-

I hope you are enjoying Summer break as our community opens back up thanks to the Covid vaccine. At Governor Mike Dewine’s guidance, schools continue to use distancing guidelines and face masks, but Warrensville Heights City School District anticipates all scholars attending fully in-person school for the 2021 - 2022 School Year. I look forward to safely welcoming our scholars to their first full, uninterrupted school year in two years with proper health and safety precautions still in place.

However, I recognize that some families still do not consider in-person school the right option for their circumstances. To ensure these scholars still benefit from an education at Warrensville Heights City School District, the District will provide a limited enrollment, fully-virtual program for grades Kindergarten through 12 with our partners at  Lincoln Learning Solutions and Edgenuity. This online option does not include live instruction from Warrensville Heights City School District staff and teachers, but instead uses self-paced online instruction tools and resources. I strongly recommend that all scholars who are able to attend in-person do so, and this option be reserved for those with extenuating circumstances.

Parents and guardians interested in their scholar attending this fully-virtual option must continue to meet all requirements for enrollment throughout the course of the school year or they will be transferred to in-person schooling. The requirements are:

Maintain 90% or higher weekly participation

    Maintain satisfactory academic progress

Maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA (Applicable to High School & Middle School)

Remain on track for graduation (Applicable to High School scholars)

Attend ALL Testing Dates in-person, listed on the back of this letter.

To select the virtual-only option for your scholar, call the Pupil Services Department at 216.364.1039 to schedule an in-person appointment at the Board of Education at 4743 Richmond Road, Warrensville Heights, OH 44128 from Thursday, July 1, 2021 to Friday, July 30, 2021.

I sincerely look forward to seeing all of our scholars in-person for next school year. As always, I deeply appreciate your patience and support. Should you have any questions about next school year, please contact the Board of Education office at 216.230.1039.

In Service,

Donald J. Jolly II, Superintendent
