Greetings!
We are writing this letter to update you regarding this year's administration of Ohio's State Tests. Students in our school district will complete these assessments on scheduled dates between April 3, 2023 and May 5, 2023. The specific building schedules are found on the back of this letter. Please be sure to use this schedule as a guide when making travel plans or scheduling appointments during the school day.
What is OST?
Ohio’s tests are given to students in Grades 3 -12 in English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies. These tests are taken online at the end of a school year or high school course. They measure what your child knows and can do based on Ohio’s Learning Standards.
How can I prepare my scholar?
Please make sure your child gets a good night's rest, eats a healthy breakfast, is on time to school, and is encouraged to do his/her best. Daily attendance is important.
How has the school prepared my scholar for these tests?
Our scholars are prepared for the content of these tests because our instruction is based on state standards. Our learning environment promotes important college and career readiness skills such as data analysis, problem-solving, knowledge application, reasoning, and verbal and written communication.

Warrensville Heights High School
- Students in grades 9 - 12 will take an OST exam if they are enrolled in that course this semester.
- There will be a delayed start on April 4th, 5th, 25th and 26th. ALL OTHER TESTING DAYS WILL BE A NORMAL SCHOOL DAY!
- On April 4th, 5th, 25th and 26th, the busses will run at normal times in the morning for those students taking tests, ALL OTHER STUDENTS NOT TESTING MUST BE AT THEIR BUS STOPS AT 10:25AM FOR THE NEXT BUS RUN.
- Math Exams will begin at 8:00 a.m. and end by 10:15 a.m. ELA exams will begin at 8:00 a.m. and end 10:30 a.m.
- Students who are not taking Algebra I, ELA II, or a Geometry test on a specific date: School begins at 10:45 a.m. & students will follow their regular schedule.
