Warrensville Heights, OH – The Warrensville Heights City School District proudly announces that Marissa Valentine has been awarded the distinguished PowerPro designation for the 2024–2025 school year by the Ohio School Public Relations Association (OHSPRA).
This highly selective recognition is awarded to only a few professionals across the state who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, initiative, and a deep commitment to advancing school communications in Ohio. Ms. Valentine’s selection speaks volumes about her talent, dedication, and impact.
Marissa played a vital role at OHSPRA’s 2025 Spring Conference, serving as the official event photographer. Through her lens, she captured meaningful moments and curated a powerful photo bank that will serve as a valuable visual archive for OHSPRA for years to come. Her work not only documented the event but also helped elevate the stories of those who tirelessly support Ohio’s schools.
In addition to her photography contributions, Ms. Valentine actively participated in professional development sessions, shared valuable resources with peers, and supported fellow members in their own growth. She exemplifies the spirit of service, collaboration, and professionalism that defines a PowerPro designee.
“We are incredibly proud of Marissa and her accomplishments,” said Superintendent Donald J. Jolly II. “She is a forward-thinking communicator whose passion and creativity are an asset to our district and to the broader school public relations community.”
Ms. Valentine will be featured on the OHSPRA website and in their member newsletter, further highlighting the excellence she brings to the field of educational communications.
