Based on the most recent information available we anticipate that, Warrensville Heights City Schools will be open tomorrow, Thursday, January 29, 2026. At this time, schools are expected to operate on a normal schedule.
While conditions have improved, temperatures will remain frigid. We encourage families to ensure scholars are dressed appropriately for winter weather, including warm coats, hats, gloves, and layered clothing, and to plan for safe travel to and from school. Being prepared is especially important during prolonged cold conditions.
We continue to monitor weather conditions closely and will notify you via the various channels: news channels, social media, our website, email, call and text if we anticipate any changes.

Our district has a significant number of students who walk to and from school, and it is imperative that we prioritize the safety and well-being of our scholars. On Monday, at Greater Abyssinia Baptist Church, the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) Cleveland Chapter hosted its annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service, recognizing 18 leaders for their impactful service to the community. Superintendent Jolly was honored with the Distinguished Academic Excellence Award for his exemplary work in closing the achievement gap.

Tiger Families, a flyer went out to our scholars last week with the dates and times for the annual Holiday Drive-Thru event hosted by the City of Warrensville Heights Fire and Police Department in partnership with University Hospitals.
