The summer reading list for WHCSD scholars this summer is filled with some amazing, culturally rich, historic, and engaging stories. Summer reading is a tool to bridge the gap between the academic school year and time off during the summer break. Building a summer reading habit with your scholar facilitates conversation, increases critical thinking skills, and enables scholars to make personal connections and build on creativity based on the stories shared.
To find your scholar's summer reading, click the Families or Students tab at the very top of our website and you will see a large yellow icon with books marked Summer Reading. Once you click that icon, you will be taken to the Academics page of our site. On that page you will see a blue button titled Summer Reading where you can find your scholar's site with their books and or reading recommendations.
Additionally, you can click below and be taken directly to your child's summer reading website.
