Behavior Expectations

Behavior Expectations at WHHS

Dress Code

The required dress code expectations for our high school scholars are:

  • Warrensville-branded shirts with the W emblem in the following colors: gold, white, blue, and gray.

  • Solid blue, black or tan pants (joggers, jeans, ripped pants or leggings are not permitted)

  • Hard sole or tennis shoes are permitted in any color.  Shoes must be (enclosed) closed toe and closed back (sandals that expose parts of the foot, including Crocs, house shoes, or slides are not permitted)

  • Hooded sweatshirts are not permitted to be worn in the building.  Warrensville branded fleece jackets and crew neck sweatshirts can be purchased through the Uniform Store

The district dress-code policy can be found on page 12 in the student code of conduct.

Attendance
Our attendance goal is 93 percent. Scholar incentives include dress down days, pizza parties, pep rallies and morning shout outs to the winning class. Regular attendance is a significant student responsibility at all grade levels. Many studies correlate regular attendance with success in school. Regular attendance means that the academic learning process is not interrupted, less time is spent on make-up assignments, and students benefit from participation and interaction with others in class. Many important lessons are learned through active participation in classroom and other school activities that cannot be replaced by individual study.

PBIS

What is PBIS?

Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports (PBIS) is an implementation framework for maximizing the selection and use of evidence-based prevention and intervention practices along a multi-tiered continuum that supports the academic, social, emotional and behavioral competence of all students. (PBIS.org, National Technical Assistance Center on PBIS, June, 2018). Learn more about our District PBIS program here
