Safety Information
Our student, staff and teacher's safety is a top priority. To ensure that our schools are safe places to learn and grow, our school safety plans account for the every day and emergency situations.
Everyday Safety
Warrensville Heights City School District is committed to the safety of our scholars throughout our community. Our on-site uniformed security officers help coordinate pick up and drop off, as well as monitor daily acitivies to ensure everyone stays safe. For more information about our safety plans, please contact Bryan Loretz, Security Supervisor at Email Terence Calloway.
What safety measures are in place everyday?
All buildings have been equipped with exterior door locks, metal detector and a buzzer system. The Middle School and High School have metal detectors at main entrances. In addition, all schools have uniformed security guards present in buildings to maintain safety, peace and order.
Social Media and Internet Safety
The Internet has many benefits, however, it is important to remember that scholars are being exposed to a wide range of content as they work and play online. As a school district, we are continuing to educate students about the risks posed by irresponsible use of the Internet. We encourage every parent to be a part of proactive efforts to help our youth use their social media accounts in a safe and responsible way. Scholars also play an important role in alerting their parents and school administrators to any suspicious online behavior that they witness.
